Booth Installation, 2022
Location: Public Project #09
Presented by Seattle Art Museum
Seattle Art Museum (SAM) is the center for world-class visual arts in the Pacific Northwest. SAM draws on its global collections, powerful exhibitions, and dynamic programs to provide unique educational and inspirational experiences at three distinct locations:
Seattle Art Museum – Downtown
In the heart of downtown Seattle, just one block from Pike Place Market, this welcoming museum invites you in to wander the galleries and wonder at the art on view. The strength of SAM’s collection of approximately 25,000 objects lies in its diversity of media, cultures, and time periods. Visitors especially enjoy the museum’s dynamic roster of rotating exhibitions and temporary installations that showcase remarkable art from around the world.
Olympic Sculpture Park
This award-winning, nine-acre park on Seattle’s waterfront is a “museum without walls,” free and open to all. The sculpture park offers monumental sculptures and breathtaking views of the Space Needle, Olympic Mountains, and Puget Sound. Stroll along a 2,200-foot path that zigzags from the pavilion to the water’s edge while admiring the outdoor art. There are photo-ops aplenty!
Seattle Asian Art Museum – Volunteer Park
The Seattle Asian Art Museum resides in a landmark 1933 Art Deco building in lush Volunteer Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood that debuted a stunning renovation in 2020. Art from China, Korea, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, the Himalayas, and the Middle East come together in intimate galleries, each exploring diverse themes including spiritual traditions, the physical body, sacred sites and texts, festivals and celebrations, the natural world, and clothing and identity.
